Psychology for Life will provide you with the support you need to overcome your barriers. Debbie Admoni, Principal Psychologist of Psychology for Life is a psychologist, teacher and adult educator. Debbie is passionate about mental health and is experienced in providing clinical support to people experiencing anxiety, depression and life stressors, helping them to achieve well being, good mental health and more satisfying relationships. Her clinical experience spans over 20 years in many community organisations including  Employee Assistance Programs, The Mental Health Association and government and in private practice, supporting all ages in mental health and disabilities.

Consultations are 50 min and can be done over the phone, online or face-to-face at the Roseville practice Suite 3, 9 Hill Street, Roseville New South Wales 2069, Australia

For online sessions, you will need a computer or iPad for online with a strong internet connection. The frequency and number of sessions will depend upon your needs and the decided approach to therapy.

Fees
Psychology for Life is a recognised Medicare provider. This means you can get a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, and you are presently entitled to Medicare rebates for up to 20 sessions per calendar year.


We are also offering subsidised sessions with a doctor's referral for people experiencing mental health issues due to COVID. Please call to discuss subsidised rates 0423 748 886.

What should I expect during my first session with a psychologist?
During your first session, you can expect to be asked about your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. We may also chat about the approach to treatment and what you can expect from future sessions.

How long will therapy take?

What types of therapy are available?
There are many types of therapy available, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, and mindfulness therapy. During the session, we will determine which type of therapy may be most beneficial for your needs.

Do I need a referral to see a psychologist?
You don't need a referral however chatting to your GP before the session could be beneficial. How do I know if therapy is working?
We will regularly assess your progress and determine if therapy is working. It's important to communicate openly about your goals and any concerns you may have.

What if I don't feel comfortable with my psychologist?
It's important to find a psychologist that you feel comfortable working with. If you don't feel like your psychologist is a good fit, you can discuss your concerns with them. Sometimes it just isn’t a good fit, which is ok!
